did you ever notice...
the smile never reaches her eyes;
the cuts on his arms & legs
that bleed feelings - or lack thereof;
she sleeps away her days,
along with her nights;
the way he keeps his head down
as though in solitary confinement
where the walls are made of people
pointing and laughing at him;
how she holds up the corner
while others float easily about engaging
& enjoying each others company;
he writes of darkness he longs to escape;
did you ever notice?

Yup, I definitely HAVE noticed! Blessings and peace to you.
sadly far too few notice them...before it becomes too late...i think we at times dont want to rock the boat...wanting not to get involved...or we will get involved and have to take responsibility

That's a strong image, RMP--strong writing throughout. The feeling that walls are closing in is bad enough, but to see the wall as a sea of mocking faces . . . heart-wrenching.
I see, once again, that you've been steadily writing. When I switched over to wordpress I added your blog to follow, but for some reason I'm not getting notified of updates. Probably my fault--I've never claimed to know what the hell I'm doing when it comes to computers. Until I figure it out, I'll try to remember to stop in to my Blogger account to see your new posts. Take care and keep writing!
Oh. I see. Wordpress has a separate Reader that has all the updates on blogs I follow. Duh.
